Department of Culture and Tourism of Surabaya in cooperation with Surabaya Tourism Promotional Board (STPB) to make the Youth Hall as a cultural heritage building. Surabaya Tourism Promotional Center (STIC) which is an information center for tourists is also located in the Hall of Youth. When the G30S / PKI happened in 1965, the Youth Hall witnessed the activities of youths who were members of the Youth Front. At that time the Youth Hall was used as the headquarters of Youth Front, KAMI and KAPPI.
